SO YOU FOUND CAPE CORAL BMX AND WANT TO GET STARTED. NOW WHAT?
Any new rider that has never been on a bmx track before can get one free trial. That free trial gives you entrance onto the Cape Coral BMX track, along with a free rental bike, and a free bmx helmet, courtesy of Cape Coral BMX. You can use your one free trial any time that we are open, however we recommend Tuesday nights as your first night due to having the most time on the track. After your one day trial is over, riders will be required to get a membership when you come back.
What to bring? To ride on the track, you must have a long sleeve shirt, pants (any kind), and sneakers. No crocs or any style of open toe show will be permitted. If you have you own bike you may bring it to ride on the track. However the bike will not be allowed on the track with pegs, kickstand, basket, horns, or reflectors. If you are supplying your own bike, the bike must be inspected by the Track Operator, or any of our Track Officials. You are permitted to bring your own snacks and drinks, however we have a fully functional concession stand with plenty of water, Gatorade, and a full hot/cold menu.
Last, all new riders MUST come to the registration window and sign a waiver. If riders are under the age of 18 the waiver must be signed by a parent/guardian. All riders under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
All new riders are welcome to attend BMX school. BMX school is typically every other week and is two hours long. Here, our new riders will experience close small group training from an experienced expert rider/coach. Topics covered are the basics, such as standing in the gate/balance, starting, pedaling, pumping, and navigating the turns.
